Puppy Social Hour
Puppy socials are designed to allow your puppy to play and explore with other puppies their age.
We will focus on play interactions, settling between play, exploring novel objects, exposure to various noises, and building your puppy’s confidence.
We ask that at least one adult attend each session with your puppy. Minors with a love for puppies above the age of 10 may attend with a parent.
Limit to 6 puppies per session, so don’t wait to sign up!
Length: Approximately 45 minutes per session
For: Puppies 10 to 24 weeks of age, although some puppies will age out prior to 24 weeks
*Small (under 15 pounds) and timid puppies can keep attending the puppy socials past 24 weeks of age, so long as they started attending puppy social before 20 weeks of age.
Fee: $35 per session, packages of 4 available for $120- recommended as your puppy will get the most benefit from repeated positive interactions with the other puppies
Vaccine Requirements: At least one round of DAPP administered 7 days prior to the 1st session, Bordetella recommended; email records to team@urbanpawsibilities.com or upload to the portal upon sign up
Class Schedule:
The 5:00pm social is for puppies that are between 25-50lbs or playful, and under 6 months.
The 6:00pm social is for puppies that are between 1-25lbs or shy, and under 6 months.

Puppy social hours are limited to 6 puppies per session. Teen Socials are limited to 5 dogs per session.

While we are happy to have anyone helping to train your puppy attend the socials, we do ask that any children under the age of 10 are accompanied by a 2nd adult. An adult is required to hold your puppy’s leash. Your child must stay at your station with you. Children are not permitted to play on the equipment we have out during classes and should generally stay at their seat while the puppies are playing off leash to avoid being knocked over, jumped on, etc.

One minor (under 18) per Client is welcome to join each session, but each minor must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will be responsible for ensuring that the minor is not disruptive. We do not recommend children under 7 attend classes, and highly encourage you to bring a 2nd adult to class if a child under 10 is attending. Children must not disrupt the session or disturb other students or their puppies. Children should stay at their stations.

We generally recommend that puppies are no younger than 10 weeks old when they sign up for our Puppy Kindergarten class. Puppies under 10 weeks can attend the socials and Puppy Preschool.

Classes are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances after purchase for any reason.

When you come in you will get seated at a station. We go over introductions and rules of the social first. From there, new puppies will be slowly acclimated to the social, usually hanging out behind a barrier at first.
We will focus on managing play interactions, settling between play, exploring novel objects, exposure to various noises, and building your puppy’s confidence.
You will be required to handle your own puppy for the duration of the social. -
In general, we recommend not feeding your dog before you come into the social hour. We recommend you feed your dog their dinner after the social or during.

Dogs must be free of contagious illnesses to attend drop off services and group classes. If your dog has kennel cough (a cold or any upper respiratory infection), Giardia, canine warts, Coccidia, fleas, ringworm, pink eye, or any other contagious illness, you must wait until your dog is no longer contagious and cleared by your vet to attend. If you're unsure if your dog should attend, please contact us. Credits due to illness or injury are determined on a case by case basis.
